The First Five Weeks

— Filed under: TS Site News

It’s hard to believe that it’s only been 5 weeks since we launched TalkingSkull.com. The response has been enormous: over 600 comments as we debated everything from Turkey's reaction to the flotilla raid, to the meaning of “spiritual”, to the humanity on display at the World Cup. A couple of our articles got picked up by Current.com and Care2.com, which helped to add fresh viewpoints from new users. If you’re reading this, you were probably involved in some of those discussions, and we’d like to extend a hearty "thank you" for your contributions thus far. Participation by our users has been (and will continue to be) instrumental to the site’s success.

In addition to more frequent thought-provoking articles on current news events, here’s what else to expect in the next few weeks:

  • improved “Recent Posts” and “Recent Comments” boxes done!
  • easier and clearer article/poll/forum creation forms
  • completely overhauled “Other Sources” section
  • Editorial Cartoons (interested?)
  • Staff Columnist/Blogger (interested?)
  • numerous other small tweaks and improvements to make your overall experience smoother and more intuitive

If you're just joining the site now, we encourage you to read more about TalkingSkull.com, and to consider creating a free account for fuller access privileges.

Stay tuned folks - the best is yet to come!
