Evolution is an undisputable fact and one can still believe in Evolution and God. New Zealand is a great example of Evolution. No mammals there except bats till people came along so all sorts of amazingly unique birds evolved and reptiles like the Tuatara still in existance where their kind went extinct long ago everywhere else. Look up the Tuatara -what an amazing creature. I want one for a pet! They don't even have teeth but projections on bone and can live to be over hundred years old. New Zealand today is sad though. All those unique creatures are on the verge of extinction due to the introduced species and the Moa and Haas eagle are long gone.
Can the Tasmanian Tiger still exist though? Maybe, just maybe and if not lets clone it back into existance, along with the Moa when the technology is available

and if you go back farther time we evolved from fish that were chased by giant scorpions. So whenever you kill a scorpion its a little bit of revenge for our ancient ancestors.

I like to think we evolved from the Universe's equivalent of a pork scratching dropped in a pint of Guiness, with the pint being dark energy. Devastating at first, but with some interesting consequences.

Considering all life on earth evolved from a handful of microorganism after the Precambrian extinction (which was a rough 500 million years ago) and has been evolving ever since you could say, "yeah, we are pretty evolved". 500 million years is an awful long time to be at it you would think.
Unfortunately you would be forgetting that life had been around for 3 billion years before the beginning of the Cambrian and still hadn't managed to become more complex than the smallest piece of boot-wipe you can find nowadays.

So are we that evolved......maybe that all depends on your point of reference, and we don't seem to have any better than ourselves.

The Archbishop of Canterbury has no problem with evolution, nor does the pope (give or thke the odd wobble over the precise paleontological juncture when the human soul was injected), nor do educated priests and professors of theology. There is positive evidence that evolution is a fact.
There is ample evidence from opinion polls. More than 40 per cent of Yanks deny that humans evolved from other animals, and think that we - and by implication all of life - were created by God within the last 10,000 years. Should we be worried about the results of these polls? Is education a result of this sort of belief?

Should we be worried? I don't think so. Sure, there is a vein of fundamentalism in the U.S. Nobody denies this. Not particularly proud of it, but I ignore the nuts for the most part. What's your source, btw?

As I remember, a whole lot of people around the world list their religion as Jedi. I'm not too worried about that either.

talking about education, it is interesting to note that the countries with the highest standards of education are also the most atheistic (take a bow sweden) while the countries that deny universal education (yes, arab world, i'm talking about you) are the most zealous.

Perhaps we were made by God as pre-human monkeys and then evolved from there? Funny how this subject is seen as only one or the other. God is still creating, through the evolutionary process. God will go on creating, whether we know it or not.

yeah, it's funny how this subject is seen as only one or the other after all the major mono-theistic have denounced (and burned people) for this way of thinking for centuries after Darwin produced his conclusions.

it seems even christianity is subject to Darwin's thinking.

Kinda would make him non-god if she/he were made nez pas? Scripture doesn't deny existance of persons on earth at the 'arrival' of adam / eve. their son Cain killed Bro.Able and was banished. Scripture says Cain goes to a "great city" and there he takes a wife. City wasn't result of evolution. Is it possible that it's being missed, the possiblity that creation of God's chosen, the Hebrew nation was the source of his plan for redemption. ??? I for one would rather live a good life thinking there is an after life, where all these perplexions can be revealed, than a poor life only to find out, i was wrong. just one man's thought.

How about the beginning of life coming from a meteorite from some cosmos location instead of from random and infinite repeated cell divisions from blob to human? And perhaps God created the universe from which these materials were derived. Evolution is far from 'proven' and God can't be scientifically verified - so science and faith can't follow similar paths of credentialing.

I am willing to entertain the possibility that the initial seed of life came from outer space. However, I don't think that necessarily excludes evolution; they probably worked in tandem.

Further, I don't understand your comment that evolution is far from 'proven'. I was under the impression that it has been proven many times over.

I guess to be more scientifically oriented in my response I should say that no theory can be proven - the null hypothesis can only be rejected. Thus, no theory - evolution included - will never be proven. The relevant question is whether the preponderance of evidence does not reject the hypothesis that evolution is not the cause for the advancement of the human species. I believe the answer to that question is no, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to reject the null hypothesis. I think you need to study the empirical evidence before you talk about 'impressions'. Impressions don't count. God's intervention in human existence, as written in the old and new testament, and which can only be validated by the legal model of eyewitness testimony, provides a more believable explanation than that advanced by evolutionists. Creationists do not necessarily reject evolutionary adaptation of the species. They reject it as the explanation as to how we all got here. Thanks for your thoughts.

The world is extremely intricate.. So intricate that it'd be impossible for everything to evolve from just a simple cell or organism! I believe what is in the Bible, and the Bible is truth :)
